The Current Our Hearts Can Stop

The following is a 55-word short story, a fun exercise in brevity, requiring thoughtful consideration of every word. Read mine, and then go try it for yourself!

I stopped and wondered how this stream would act in the summer. My bikini felt displaced by the white encasing the pines and my breath, clutching the water dripping from me. I was dared. Now ensorcelled, I was frozen by the snow that filled gaps and stilled currents. I admired for over sixty seconds, ruminating.

55-word short stories are fun, huh? Share it on the social media happenings, and leave your thoughts in the comments!
